Get Fit Burdekin (Get Fit Home Hill) operates a gym at 92-98 Eighth Avenue, Home Hill QLD 4806. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean that business. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What this website collects
This site collects personal information in one place only: the enquiry form on the join or contact page. If you fill it in, we collect the name, phone number, email address and message you type into it, along with the topic you select.
We do not collect anything else about you through this website. We do not sell personal information, we do not trade it, and we do not pass it to anyone for marketing.
Why we collect it, and what we do with it
We use what you send through the form to answer your enquiry, and for nothing else. In practice that means Christian or Yvette reads it and rings or emails you back. If your enquiry does not lead anywhere, we do not add you to a mailing list.
Your gym membership is separate
Memberships, bookings and door access are handled through GymMaster, which is a separate third-party system with its own privacy terms. If you join through the "Join now" buttons on this site you leave this website and provide your details to GymMaster directly. Anything you enter there is covered by their privacy policy, not this one.
Who else can see it
Enquiries submitted through this site pass through two service providers:
- Netlify, which hosts this website and receives form submissions before passing them to us.
- Google, if and when website analytics are enabled, which records anonymous usage statistics such as which pages are visited. Analytics does not receive anything you type into the form.
We may also disclose personal information where we are required to by law. Otherwise, it stays with us.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. If website analytics are enabled, Google Analytics may set cookies to tell repeat visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to use this site.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we reasonably need them to deal with the enquiry and any follow-up, and then no longer than is useful. If you would like your enquiry deleted, ask us and we will delete it.
Getting a copy, correcting it, or complaining
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Ring 0457 067 391 or email getfitburdekin@gmail.com and we will sort it out.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your personal information, tell us first and give us a chance to fix it. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
