03 How it works

How personal training works

Personal training at Get Fit Burdekin is one-on-one coaching with Yvette Lando at 92-98 Eighth Avenue, Home Hill. Sessions run at set times Monday to Thursday and are booked directly with her.

First session

You talk through what you want, any injuries, and which days you can train. Then you go through the main movements with light weight while Yvette checks your technique.

Your programme

A written plan: the exercises, sets, reps and weights, and how they go up week to week. You can follow it on your own between sessions, whenever you come in.

After that

Sessions are for adding weight, fixing technique and changing the plan when your work or your week changes. Nutrition guidance is part of it if you want it.

Session times

  • 8am Monday
  • 8am & 2pm Tuesday
  • 2pm Wednesday
  • 8am & 2pm Thursday

04 The floor

Training between sessions

Your programme is written for the equipment on the floor: squat racks, lifting platforms, dumbbells to 40 kg, plate-loaded leg machines and a multi-station cable machine. Members can come in at any hour with their fob, so the sessions you do on your own fit around your shifts.

See every machine on the floor, or check membership prices.
